Welcome to Scott Thomson's Red Stag Hunting New Zealand
Scott and Erin Thomson are a newlywed couple who have a passion for hunting and entertaining. Scott was born and raised in Fairlie, NZ in the Mackenzie Valley of the South Island. Destined for a professional rugby career, Scott had his dreams crushed when a work accident nearly left him without a leg at the age of 19. From that time forward, Scott devoted his life to his second passion, hunting. Life-long relationships were formed with team mates, work colleagues and local farmers that have allowed Scott to build his free range hunting territory to over 550,000 acres. His pride in his community, loyalty to his family, and the honesty-based relationships with his land owners makes Scott one of the most respected Outfitters in all of New Zealand. Erin moved to Montrose, CO from a big city to allow her children the freedom and security of small town living. Immediately after she settled she began working at a mountain top lodge as a bartender and hotel keeper. It was there, on a remote mountain, in a remote lodge, that the two met. From that point on the two have been committed to each other. With Scott’s 20+ years as an Outfitter and Erin’s 20+ years in the hotel/food/entertainment industries they have formed a Safari Experience of a life time for individuals, couples, and families!
“We can’t wait for you to come visit us! Lifetime memories will be made here!”
